ITTO discusses sustainable forest management with visitors from the Republic of Korea

On 11 September 2025 ITTO warmly welcomed visitors from the Republic of Korea to share insights on the promotion of sustainable forest management and timber utilization.
Representatives from the Korea Forest Service, National Institute of Forest Science, and Korea National Arboretum were joined by journalists from NEWS1, The Korea Economic Daily, and EDAILY to meet with ITTO Executive Director Sheam Satkuru and other ITTO staff.
The group held a question-and-answer session where information about ITTO’s mission and projects supporting wood utilization was shared with the visiting group.
Ms Satkuru emphasized the importance of sustainable forest management and sustainable utilization of forest resources in order to support the expansion and diversification of trade in tropical timber.
