ITTO celebrates Africa’s biodiversity at pre-TICAD 9 event in Yokohama

On July 26, 2025, ITTO joined the City of Yokohama’s pre-TICAD 9 celebration at Queen’s Square, Yokohama, marking 25 days until the conference. Highlighting its commitment to Africa’s rich biodiversity, ITTO hosted origami workshops where visitors folded paper Malagasy turtles, also known as the radiated tortoise (Astrochelys radiata), a species native to Madagascar. Through art and nature, the event shared a message of conservation and international cooperation.
