ITTO guests enjoy Yokohama’s legendary fireworks for 2024 Minato-Mirai Smart Festival

ITTO Executive Director Sheam Satkuru and staff members welcomed over 80 guests from the Government of Japan, the City of Yokohama, foreign missions in Japan, private associations and non-governmental organizations to ITTO headquarters at the Pacifico-Yokohama building on 5 August 2024 to enjoy a brilliant display of fireworks, or hanabi (the Japanese word for "fireworks"), as part of the 2024 Minato-Mirai Smart Festival.
Guests viewed the fireworks from ITTO’s responsibly sourced tropical hardwood deck, which was presented to the organization in 2018 by the City of Yokohama to mark the City’s longstanding support for ITTO and to promote sustainable forest management in the tropics.
