ITTO and the City of Yokohama, in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Forestry Agency, have produced a poster to raise awareness among Yokohama citizens of the important role of tropical forests in planetary wellbeing and ITTO’s work to promote sustainable forestry in the tropics.
The poster is on display in Yokohama City Hall and has also been distributed to 337 elementary schools, 144 middle schools and 13 special-needs schools in the city. The poster features an iconic photo of a mother orangutan in North Sumatra, Indonesia, carrying her baby.
