Dignitaries enjoy Yokohama’s legendary fireworks at ITTO headquarters

ITTO Executive Director Sheam Satkuru and staff members welcomed nearly 60 guests from the Government of Japan, the City of Yokohama, foreign missions in Japan, private associations and non-governmental organizations to ITTO headquarters at the Pacifico-Yokohama building on 31 July 2023 to enjoy a brilliant display of fireworks, or hanabi, as part of the 2023 Minato-Mirai Smart Festival.
Guests viewed the fireworks from ITTO’s responsibly sourced tropical hardwood deck, which was installed in 2018 by the City of Yokohama to mark the City’s longstanding support for ITTO and to promote sustainable forest management in the tropics.
