ITTO/FFPRI side-event at UNFCCC COP25

Forests provide many goods and services and can play significant roles in climate-change mitigation and adaptation, as well as in people’s livelihoods. This side-event will explore forest-based solutions for combating climate change and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on the roles of green supply chains, biocorridor restoration, community-based REDD+ projects, innovative forest monitoring systems, and research and development.
 
The side-event is co-organized by ITTO and Japan’s Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute (FFPRI).
 
The side-event will take place in room 6 at the official venue (IFEMA – Feria de Madrid, Avda. del Partenón, 5, 28042 Madrid, Spain).
