Collaborative meeting on biodiversity

ITTO, IUCN and JICA hosted a meeting in Yokohama, Japan on 15 June 2010 on “Biodiversity conservation in human influenced areas”. The event is part of efforts by the three organizations to raise the profile of their biodiversity work during the International Year of Biodiversity. Presentations at the meeting (which was attended by about 80 people) focused on ITTO/IUCN guidelines for biodiversity conservation, forest restoration concessions in Indonesia, and Satoyama initiative.
