ITTO signs with the Government of Gabon the Agreement for the implementation of the project “Operational Supportive System for Promoting the Further Processing of Timber in Five Countries of the Congo Basin”

On June 14th ITTO Executive Director Emmanuel Ze Meka and Gabon’s Minister of Water and Forest Christian Magnagna signed an agreement for the implementation of a new ITTO project funded through a CFC grant “Operational support system for promoting the further processing of timber in five countries of the Congo Basin”. The project will establish a support mechanism for stakeholders in the timber processing industries with the aim of boosting the potential of exports of processed timber products from participating countries’ small-medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
