Project/activity information

The Project will conduct research into natural regeneration and growth potential of various types of Hill Dipterocarp Forests and drive suitable optimal silvicultural and management systems and associated harvesting techniques for them with the aim of achieving sustainable timber production. The research will be conducted in two virgin forest areas and two logged-over areas and include application of various cutting regimes and silvicultural treatments. The Project will be implemented over a two year period.
