ITTO and the Sustainable Development Goals

The sustainable management of tropical productive forests and a sustainable timber trade actively contribute towards meeting future wood demand while achieving several of the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. ITTO is mandated to promote the expansion of international tropical timber trade from legal and sustainable sources. It is perfectly placed therefore to assist countries in their efforts towards the SDGs.
