The conference will focus on how forests and trees respond to wind and what actions can mitigate wind damage during extreme winds caused by global warming.

Topics including biomechanics and tree-scale processes, forest management and silvicultural strategies, meteorological and climatic drivers of wind damage (including tropical and subtropical storms), decision-making tools and risk modeling, monitoring forest damage, urban tree safety, will be discussed at the event.
