ITTO regrets to announce the passing of Ms. Célestine Ntsame-Okwo on 9 May 2013, following a lengthy illness. Celestine, a national of Gabon, served with distinction as ITTO's Regional Officer for Africa since November 2007. Prior to that, she had been involved with ITTO as a delegate of Gabon for over a decade, attending Council Sessions as Technical Advisor to the Minister of Forest Economy, Water, Fish and National Parks. Celestine made an essential contribution to strengthening ITTO's standing in Africa and she will be sorely missed.
