New FAO outlook report builds on earlier ITTO study

A report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Global Forest Sector Outlook 2050, which was presented at the 26th Session of the Committee on Forestry on 4 October 2022, draws on Tropical Timber 2050, an earlier ITTO report focused on the tropics.
The FAO report was also produced with inputs from ITTO. It assesses the capacity of wood supply to support a sustainable bioeconomy.
