During the visit, the interns met with ITTO Executive Director Sheam Satkuru, who welcomed the group and encouraged their interest in international development work. They also attended a presentation highlighting ITTO’s mission, ongoing initiatives, and its role in promoting the sustainable management of tropical forests and trade in tropical timber.

The visit provided the students with valuable insights into the work of an intergovernmental organization and inspired further interest in careers related to sustainability and international cooperation.
