Bolivia Investment Forum: Investment Opportunities in the Tropical Forestry Sector of Bolivia

The Forum Investment Opportunities in the Tropical Forestry Sector of Bolivia is being organized in conjunction with the Forestry Chamber of Bolivia, and will take place on March 26th and 27th, 2008 in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia along with the trade show EXPOFOREST.

The objective of the Forum is analyze the investment opportunities that exist in the forestry sector of Bolivia in order to attract further investment in the tropical forest, and at the same time discuss on an action plan that may allow the different stakeholders to have an investment program, so that forestry may realize its potential as an economic activity that generates income and jobs in Bolivia.

It is expected that personalities from the private sector, investors, financial institutions, and highly recognized experts in the forestry sector may attend. Main topics will include investment incentives, analysis of the major international markets for tropical wood, industrial plantations, bioenergy, carbon markets and investment opportunities within the region.

Other activities will include guided tours to wood industries, the 4th Business Round of the Wood Industry, and the Furniture Hall.
