ITTO has an active program for training forest managers and concessionaires in the use of its criteria and indicators for sustainable forest management (C&I) and to assist countries in preparing national reports on sustainable forest management using the ITTO C&I. Twenty-five national C&I training workshops have been held to date throughout the tropics (see list below), with each workshop hosting 30-40 participants who are actively involved in forest management and/or production operations. To date, more than 1,000 forest managers/concessionaires have been trained through these workshops, which have also provided important inputs for ITTO's ongoing review of its C&I.
